Actor Randeep Honda’s name comes among the talented and promising actors of Bollywood. He is one of the actors people admire the most on and off camera.
Apart from his dashing looks, the actor have won audience’s hearts many times with his exceptional action performances and one of his iconic performance was in 2016 biographical drama film Sarabjit, in which he played the title role Sarabjit Singh, an Indian man who was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1991.
The film received critical acclaim and the people showered praise for the stellar performance of Randeep. He as Sarabjit was terrific and beyond brilliance.
Now, the actor is all set for his upcoming project, another biopic titled Swatantra Veer Sawarkar, a film based on the life journey of Indian freedom fighter and reformer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar.
The film is being referred to as one of the highly-anticipated projects of Hooda’s career and it will go on the floor in August this year. Talking about his role, Honda said that it’s a challenging role and shared his happiness about showcasing Veer Savarkar’s story on celluloid.

Swatantra Veer Savarkar Makers
This most talked-about project is directed by actor-cum-director Mahesh Majrekar known for his work in Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, and Bhojpuri films. The award-winning director has also directed superstar Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma’s starrer action film Antim: The final truth.
It is jointly bankrolled by Anand Pandit, Sandeep Singh and Sam Khan. Pandit in the past produced films like Total Dhamaal, Missing, Sarkar 3, The Big Bull and Chehre etc. The film is co-produced by Roopa Pandit and Zafar Mehdi.
Swatantra Veer Savarkar First Look Out
Today, on May 28th, on the occasion of the 139th birth anniversary of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, the makers of the film unveiled the first look motion poster of the film featuring Randeep Honda in the character of Savarkar. The poster also reads “Hindutva Dharm Nahin Itihas Hai”.
Randeep also shared the poster on his social media handle and referred to the film as a story that has been brushed under the carpet for so long. Check out the post here:

Filming
The film was announced on March 23, 2022, on the occasion of Shaheed Diwas or Martyrs’ Day shooting of Swatantra Veer Savarkar will go on the floor in August this years and it will be shot in all those places Savakar was associated with through all his life till death example London, Maharashtra, Andoman and Nicobar Island, where he was imprisoned in the infamous cellular jail.
Release Date
There is no official announcement regarding the release date of the film. As we mentioned above in this article that the filming will begin in August, we can expect the film to be released in late 2022 or early 2023.
