Swathimuthyam is Telugu family drama film which is directed by Lakshman K. Krish, who made his directorial debut with this film.
The title of the film is borrowed from K. Viswanath directed 1986 blockbuster Telugu drama film Swathi Muthyam, starring Kamal Haasan and Raadhika in lead roles.
It was the first Telugu movie that India sent to the Oscar for consideration as an official selection. Upon its success, the film was later remade in Hindi as Eeshwar and in Kannada as Swathi Muthu.
Now popular producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi has locked it title under his own production house Sithara Entertainment, which recently produced Saagar K. Chandra directorial action drama film Bheemla Nayak, starring Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati.
On technical front, Cinematography credit goes to Surya Teja Musunuru and Navin Nooli is handling the editing work. Mahathi Sagar is serving as music composer and music rights are acquired by Aditya Music.

On the occasion of Ugadi, on April 2, 2022, the official twitter handle of Sithara Productions confirmed that the film will be released in July 2022, postponed to digital premiere from 24th of Oct on Aha Video In:

Swathimuthyam First Glimpse
The makers of the movie released the first glimpse of the film on January 15, 2022 coinciding with Makar Sankranthi. The nearly 1 minute long video clip features lead actor Ganesh as someone who is socially awkward and his marriage is fixed with Varsha’s character.
It further shows Ganesh’s character washing the bride’s feet played by Naresh, which embarrasses his father played by Rao Ramesh. The female character in the film seems more shy as she even wants to find out if her husband-to-be is a virgin or not.
On September 14, 2021 on the occasion of Ganesh Bellamkonda’s birthday, the makers shared the first look and title of the movie, which features Ganesh smiling as a typical family man.
