India’s popular OTT streaming platform announced its more than 50+ original premium shows as part of its 2022-23 slate episodes on the occasion of the second anniversary of its revamp version Sony LIV 2.0.
These upcoming projects include the second seasons of the platform’s hit web-shows like Maharaani, Scam, Rocket Boys etc. Also some new series in 11 Indian languages were also announced with Director Arivazhagan’s Tamil Rockerz being one of them.
The first glimpse of the Tamil drama series is out in June. It was shared by Aruna Guhan who is the creative director and producer at AVM Productions, which is backing this project.
The 16 second video clip shows some people troubled due to a notorious pirate group who is about to leak a big budget movie before its release. In the video clip one can be heard saying that these pirates called themselves Spider, this is one of much awaited from Sony LIV’s much awaited OTT releases.

Star Cast
The series stars actor Arun Vijay of Thadam fame along with Vani Bhojan, Aishwarya Lekshmi and Tharun Kumar in the key roles. Arun was seen in recently released child drama film Oh My Dog, in which his son made her debut as a child actor.
Talking about Vani Bhojan, the actress has many projects in the pipeline for this year including Pagaivanuku Arulvai, Casino, Miral, Love, Rekla and many more. Aishwarya Lekshmi ‘s film Godse released on June 17 is currently running in theaters.
About the Series
Tamil Rockerz, based on certain true events, is supposed to be a fast-paced thriller with plenty of unexpected twists and turns. Given that the website Tamil Rockers was once a major threat to the Tamil film industry, this is one of Kollywood’s most anticipated projects.
Many films were previously uploaded to the site shortly after their cinema release. There have been cases where a few Tamil movies have been live-streamed on their websites, shocking industry experts. The series is going to show the story about the group, its inception and how it works.
OTT release date
The web series is going to be streaming on Sony Liv but the date hasn’t been revealed yet. We can expect the web series will be released by end of July 2022.
