Bollywood actor John Abraham, known for his handsome hunk image, is set to return with another action flick titled Tariq Soon. On the occasion of the 75th Independence of India, the actor had announced this upcoming film.
The actor’s most recent release was psychological action thriller film Ek Villain Returns in which he starred alongside Disha Patani, Tara Sutaria and Arjun Kapoor. Though the film received mixed response, John gained lots of praises for portraying the villainous avatar.
Tariq Makers
Along with playing the lead role in the film, John is producing it too under his JA Entertainment along with Shobhna Yadav and Sandeep Leyzell’s Bake My Films. Tariq is the third collaboration between them after 2019 action thriller film Batla House and John’s upcoming film Tehran, in which Manushi Chhillar is playing opposite him.
John earlier worked in several acclaimed action films such as Madras Cafe, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, Satyameva Jayate, however, his recently released film Attack couldn’t impress the audience and was a big failure. John will appear in Shah Rukh Khan starrer most awaited film Pathaan in the lead role.

Tariq Release Date
On Independence Day, 2022, John made the announcement of this upcoming action flick. Interestingly, the film will be released on the 76th Independence Day, (15th August, 2023). Earlier, John’s commercial successful film Batla House was also released on Independence Day in the year 2019. Interestingly, his “Tehran” will hit the big screens on January 26, 2023 convincing the Republic Day of India.
John’s stand regarding the release of his films is very clear. He, in an interview revealed that he likes digital space as a producer and not as an actor.

About the Film
The film is being directed by Arun Gopalan, who is also directing John’s upcoming political thriller Tehran which is backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Tariq is written by Ritesh Shah and Lalit Marathe. Although not much has been revealed about the film, it is confirmed that the film’s story is based on some true events revolving around our freedom movement.
