Naga Chaitanya’s latest rom-com “Thank You” was opened to mixed responses from the critics and saw a dismal opening at the box office. The film failed to charm the cinephiles and performed drastically over the weekend.
It was opened on a slow note at the box office and is said to be one of the worst performers of the actor’s career as far as the opening day is concerned. The film minted only Rs 1.65 Cr shares on the first day in the Telugu-speaking states.
Career lowest opening for Naga
His past releases Love Story had collected Rs 7.13 Cr shares, Majili Rs 5.6 Cr shares, and Bangarraju (multi-starrer) had minted Rs 9.06 Cr shares on the very first day. Thank You becomes the lowest opening of the actor’s career.

TFI (Telugu film industry) is going through tough times and there was slight hope from the flick to break the drought of it at the box office, however, the disappointing numbers of the film on Day 1 itself, made it clear that TFI needs to deliver another event film like RRR to end the dry spell as the medium budget films are not working.

Box Office Collection Day 3
It seems now there is no hope for Yuva Samrat’s film to revive itself at the box office as the trend at the box office is not in the film’s favor, it saw a decline in the collections for the straight 3rd day as well.
As per the Telugu trade circle reports, Thank You failed to find any takers, as the film has witnessed a downtrend during the weekend. It earns Rs 0.90 Cr gross on Day 3 which is almost a 50% drop compared to Sat. With it, the total collection of the film now stands at Rs 6.25 Cr gross, as per Tollywood BO tracker T2bLive.
