The controversial movie ‘The Conversion’ is all set to come in theatres soon, it is bankrolled by Raj Patel, Vipul Patel, and Raj Nostrum under their banner Nostrum Entertainment Hub. Most of the shootings took place in Banaras, Uttar Pradesh.
The film is touted to be a love triangle, romantic drama though the director Vinod Tiwari giving synopsis about the film said in an interview, “The film is not a simple love triangle between the three characters, ‘The Conversion’ sensitively explores the dilemma of religious conversions that comes about during love marriages in India”
The Conversion Budget & Release Date
This is a small-budget film, expected to be made on a Rs 2-2.5 crores budget, however, the official production cost hasn’t been revealed by the makers yet. Earlier the film was set to release in Oct 2021, but the release date got halted because of the sensitive topic which the film touches upon.
Now, on March 7, after the long battle, the censor board has finally cleared the film with the certification, further makers decided to release the film on 6th of May.

Star Cast of The Conversion
The story revolves around a Hindu girl, who falls in love with a Muslim guy, but her parents are against the marriage as they know that the guy is trapping their daughter in love jihad(as he wants to convert their daughter into Islam in the guise of love), she anyhow marries the guy whom she loves, later, she finds out that what her parents were saying becomes true.

- Manoj Joshi is playing Sakshi’s father role

The Conversion Controversy & Trailer
The trailer of the film was released on 12 Aug 2021 on Nostrum Entertainment Hub’s official YouTube channel. It crossed 30 lakh+ views with 64k likes and 1.9k dislikes.
Though the trailer mostly received positive comments from viewers, there was a plea filed in Delhi High Court seeking the removal of its trailer from YouTube. The plea was filed by the All India Practicing Lawyers Council through advocates Adil Sharfuddin and Ubaid Ul Hasan.
Further, BJP leader Kapil Mishra came in support of this film, new release date is 6 May 2022:

Now that, this is said to be another much-talked-about film after The Kashmir Files had created the rampage at the box office, and collected 20 times of its budget, let’s see if Vinod Tiwari’s directorial does the same magic at the box office or not.

The story is narrated by Vandana Tiwari, she is the wife of the director Vinod Tiwari. Films song composed by Anamika Chauhan, there are three songs of the movie released as of now.
