Recipient of the multi accolades The Crown is now gearing to premiere for its fifth season on the leading streaming platform Netflix. This historical drama series is created and written by Peter Morgan.
The series explores the reign of Queen Elizabeth two, so far in the four seasons, we have seen Elizabeth’s marriage to her son walking down the aisle (1947 to early 1990). The upcoming season will be set after the events of season four and will be spanning from the early to mid-’90s.

While earlier we have witnessed Claire Foy for seasons 1 & 2 and academy award winner Olivia Colman for seasons 3 & 4, essaying the role of Queen Elizabeth two, in the new part we will be witnessing Imelda Staunton portraying the same role.

Netflix Release Date
The filming of The Crown Season 5 commenced in July 2021 and in Aug it was announced that season 5 would be premiered on the over-the-top platform Netflix in November 2022, mark the date ‘9th Nov‘:

Season 6?
Talking about the wrap-up of the show, makers had intended earlier that they will be premiering one more season after season 5 and then the show might be concluded.
Reportedly one of the most big-budget Tv series ever made will end with its season 6. It will showcase the Queen’s reign into the 21st century.

In 2019 it was reported that the series is made on a 260 million dollars budget in Indian rupees 1957 crores, hence marking the one of the most expensive series ever made.
The Series is a multi awards winner including Prime Time Emmy and Golden Globe awards etc. It has a wide range of audiences and has an IMDb rating of 8.6 out of 10.
