OTT streaming platform Voot Select, in the past has produced several original shows such as Asur: Welcome to Your Dark Side, Crackdown, The Gone Game, Illegal: Justice, Out of Order, The Raikar Cast and many others.
Now the platform is all set to come with another Original series titled The Great Weddings of Munnes, which is created and produced by Sunil Subramani, who is best known for directing 2019 comedy film Dream Girl, that starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
The Great Weddings of Munnes Star Cast
Directed by Sunil Subramani, the series stars actor Abhishek Banerjee in the lead role as Munnes Kumar Yadav. He is best known for his notable roles in Stree, Rashmi Rocket as well as Amazon Prime Video’s crime thriller drama series Paatal Lok.
Actress and social media personality Barkha Singh is playing Mahi opposite Banerjee, She also has a YouTube Channel with more than 3 lakh subscribers. Additionally, it stars Khatija Iqbal and Sunia Rajwar in prominent roles.
The Great Weddings of Munnes OTT Release Date
The makers of the comedy series revealed the release date of the series along with its trailer. It is now available on digital platform from August 4, 2022 on Voot Select, receiving positive reviews:

Jio Studios is presenting the 10-episode series and the series’ shooting started in November 2021 whereas it had a wrap in March 2022.

The Great Weddings of Munnes Trailer Out
The makers released the nearly 2.5-minute long trailer of the show and it looks really amazing and promising. It starts with a Voiceover introducing actor Abhishek Banerjee as Munnes Kumar Yadav, an innocent man who has been rejected many times by girls for marriage.
In the next scene, it introduced Barkha Singh as Mahi, who is introduced as Munnes’ friend. Munnes’ mother thinks that this girl has come as a lucky charm in his life. Both fall in love with each other and everything seems in place, when a Pandit’s prophecy adds a whole new twist in the story and stops their marriage.
And the struggle for a perfect bride continues, some horror scenes are also introduced in the trailer. Overall, the trailer of the family drama series is really entertaining and explains the series issues of life with a slice-of-comedy.
