Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial The Kashmir Files is receiving an amazing response from the theatergoers, the film releases on 11 March (Friday) with rave reviews from the critics and viewers as well.
The film recorded 41.35% occupancy on Friday, with most from the night shows where the film recorded a massive 60.65% occupancy. The advance ticket gross for two days of this multinational film awardee starrer collectively grossed Rs 3.53 Cr (Day1-Rs 1.13 cr+Day2-Rs 2.40 cr)
Tax-Free in MP & HR states
Anupam Kher starrer after being well received by the viewers and following the film is based on a relevant topic the governments of Madhya Pradesh and Haryana declared the film tax-free in their respective states. Hence, the tickets will be sold at reduced prices excluding GST hereafter in the states.

TKA was released on 630+ screens in India, and overall around 700 screens worldwide, the film minted Rs 3.55 cr Nett on day 1 at the BO India, which is far more than Rajkummar Rao starrer Badhaai Do’s opening day collection of Rs 1.65 cr.

After the surge in Day2 advance booking collections, Vivek’s directorial on Saturday garnered a huge amount of footfalls at the ticket windows than the opening day as the evening and night show were almost sold out.
Positive word of mouth converted into big Box Office number, Vivek’s Kashmir Files the film collected Rs 8.50 Cr nett at the BO India on Day 2, which is more than double from the opening day (Rs 3.55 Cr) and Rs 10.10 Cr worldwide.
Thereby, The Kashmir Files collected Rs 14.35 Cr at the box office worldwide in two days (Friday & Saturday)

The film is expected to earn around Rs 27-29 crores+ on the opening weekend at the BO WW.
Talking about the film it is written and directed by National film awardee Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film features multi-national film awardee stars such as Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi (Vivek’s wife). Their performance in the film is being praised by the cinephiles, especially Anupam Kher’s role of Pushkar Nath Pandit.
Along with the performance, the powerful story of the film and the extensive research done by Vivek is also being liked by the audience, which revolves around the plight and the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits during the Kashmir insurgency that took place in 1990.
