After grossing big from its two days theatrical run, The Kashmir Files finally reached the last day of its opening weekend. Here we are updating the Opening weekend collection of TKA.
Directed by national awardee filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, the film is set in the 1990s Kashmir insurgency and depicts the journey of a college student named Krishna Pandit, who is wrongly informed about his own people from Kashmir by his professor Radhika Menon, later how he got to know about the truth of the genocide of his own people done by the Islamist extremist forms the rest of the story.
Earlier the film was slated to release on the occasion of 26 Jan 2022 but was pushed back in the wake of covid-19. Ahead of the release, Vivek
directorial got rave reviews from the critics as well as from the Kashmiri Pandits at the special screenings.
The film got standing ovations in the end at the screenings. Critics praised the plot, hard-hitting facts depicted by Vivek, and the performances by the main leads.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Talking about the box office collections, The Kashmir Files was showcased on 700 screens worldwide with most 630+ screens in India on the 11 Mar(Friday) and the film raked in more than the expected amount of Rs 3.55 cr nett at the box office India, and Rs 75 lakhs from the overseas market. TKA collected Rs 4.25 cr on Day 1.

On Day 2, Vivek’s directorial saw a huge surge in the footfalls at the ticket counters and minted Rs 8.50 nett at the BO India, considering the craze among the people for the film, as per the reports, the film’s screen count surged to 2000 screens from 700, which is very very big.

Vivek’s TKF is standing strong in front of the big-ticket Radhe Shyam. On Day 3, TKF again pulled the increased footfalls at the cinema halls and minted a solid Rs 15 Cr+ nett at the BO India.
