After Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, it seems Indian audiences are going to witness another heartbreaking story of human tragedy that will shake them to the core.
This time, filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who is one of the biggest producers of the Indian film industry, is ready to bring a story based on some unfortunate real life incidents to the screen.
We are talking about his upcoming project, The Kerala Story, which will tell the story of thousands of women who disappeared from the state of Kerala. Shah, who is known for directing acclaimed films like Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London, etc., is backing the project under his banner, Sunshine Pictures Pvt. Ltd.
He has also produced movies such as Singh is Kinng, Force, Commando: A One Man Army, Commando 2, Commando 3 Holiday, Sanak, etc. Along with Shah, The Kerala Story is produced by Aashin A. Shah.
The Kerala Story Cast & Crew
Directed by Sudipto Das of Aasma, Lucknow Time, and The Last Monk fame, The Kerala Story stars actress Adah Khan in the lead role. She will be seen playing the character named Sheetal Unnikrishan in the movie.
The movie marker her third collaborating with Vipul Amrutlal Shah after Commando 2 and Commando 3. The rest of the star cast of the film is yet to be announced.
Teaser & Plot
The 1.5 minute long teaser was unveiled on November and it tells the story of a human tragedy as it unearth the events behind 32,000 women going missing in the Indian southern state of Kerala.
The short yet impactful teaser tells the story of one such victims, Sheetal Unnikrishnan played by Adah Sharma who wanted to be a nurse but was kidnapped from her home, converted to Islam and is currently being held as an ISIS terrorist in prison in Afghanistan.
