Saravanan Arul’s first film tanked at the box office, it was opened with negative reviews from the critics, who panned the performance of the main lead, and story while praising the music and cinematography.
It is the first film of the businessman turned actor Saravanan Arul, helmed by the duo J.D-Jerry and Arul himself produced the film under his banner Saravanana Productions. R. Velraj has done the cinematography, Ruben handled the editing and it is a Harris Jayaraj musical.
Box Office (Weekend 1) and Budget
As per a recent report of Times of India, the sci-fi film made Rs 6 Cr gross business at the box office worldwide, in its extended four-day opening weekend. The report also added that the film is made on a budget of Rs 45 Cr and it needs to mint around Rs 65 Cr to be called commercially successful at the box office.

But it will be a very tough task for the film to fetch the Rs 65 Cr mark globally considering its box office collections. The film has been witnessing a downtrend in its earnings, as per the reports. It looks like, it will finish at a lifetime of 10-15 Cr gross at the BO.
Box Office Collection Day 5
As per the reports, it has witnessed a drastic drop in the occupancy over the morning and afternoon shows. It has seen 8.08% morning and 9.47% afternoon occupancy on Monday. While the film had 14.69% morning and 18.29% afternoon occupancy on Sunday. As per the trade estimation, it mints in the range of Rs 40-50 Lakhs on Day 5.

About the Film
The Legend is released on 28 July 2022 in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It was released on around 2500 screens worldwide, it occupied 650 screens in the home market (Tamil Nadu). Gopuram Cinemas are the distributors of the film and it has a runtime of 161 minutes. It locked horns with Kiccha Sudeep’s Vikrant Rona.
