It is an upcoming television web series which is based on English Scholar J.R.R. Tolkien’s high-fantasy novel “The Lord of the Rings”.
This novel was one of the highest-selling novels ever with over 150 million sold copies worldwide and it was written in stages between 1937 to 1949.
Although this book was the sequel to Tolkien’s 1937 children’s fantasy novel The Hobbit but ended up being developed into a much larger work.
It consists of three volumes namely The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King, that were published between 1954 and 1955.
The fantasy-adventure films of the same names mentioned above were already released in 2001, 2002, 2003, respectively.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is the series adaptation of the novel, and is set in the second age of Middle-Earth, will show all the events before “The Lord of Ring Film Series”.
Middle-Earth is a fictional setting of J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy, which he describes in his novels. He describes it as a Human -inhabited World, that is, the central Continent of the Earth.

On Wednesday, 19 January 2022, the makers of the movie released the title announcement video of the series.
The trailer was released with subtitles “Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky”, “Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone”, “Nine for Mortal Men, doomed to die”, “One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne”.
