Created by Jenny Lumet and Alex Kurtzman, The Man Who Fell to Earth is an upcoming American science fiction television series. It is based on the American Novelist Walter Tevis’s 1963 novel of the same name, which was published.
The novel served as the basis for Nicolas Roeg’s 1976 film of the same name, starring David Bowie, Rip Torn, Candy Clark, Buck Henry and Bernie Casey as well as 1987 television adaptation and now is all set to deliver the television series.
Kurtzman directed all the 10 episodes of the series as well as executive produced them in association with Jenny Lumet, Rola Bauer, Carl Beverly, Francoise Guyonnet, John Hlavin, Heather Kadin and Sarah Timberman under the banners of Secret Hideout, Timberman/ Beverly, Tandem Productions and CBC Studios.
The Man Who Fell to Earth Star Cast
- British actor Chiwetel Ejiofor, the recipient of many awards including BAFTA Award, Laurence Olivier Award, NAACP Image Award is the male lead and he is playing as the alien/ Faraday
- Actress Naomie Harris is playing the female lead as Justin Falls, she is best known for playing Selena in the Zombie film 28 Days Later, Tia Dalma in the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean Films, Winnie Mandela in Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom etc. She also starred in acclaimed film Moonlight, a performance that earned her a number of accolades and nominations.

The Man Who Fell to Earth OTT Release Date
The makers have announced the release date of this most-anticipated sci-fi series. It is confirmed that the series will comprise 10 episodes and the debut episode will premiere on American premium television network Showtime on April 24, 2022. A portion of the series was also shown at South by Southwest (SXSW) on March 12, 2022.

The Man Who Fell to Earth Trailer
The first trailer of the series was released on February 22, 2022 while the second trailer was released on April 8, 2022.
Plot of the Series
The plot of the series revolves around a humanoid alien, Faraday (Chiwetel Ejiofor) who falls to earth from a distant planet on a mission to bring back water from earth to his planet which is experiencing a catastrophic drought. He finds a woman, Justin (Naomie Harris) on the earth who can help him saving his species and together they discover that in order to save his world, they must first save the Earth which is full of human vices and corruption.
