American Filmmaker Robert Eggers was back with American epic historical film The Northman. The film stars Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard in the male lead role. He is playing the role of a medieval Scandinavian legend and Viking prince Amleth.
The film is an epic revenge thriller as depict a fictional story of a Viking Prince Amleth who set out on a mission to avenge the death of his father, who was murdered by his uncle.
The Northman Release Date
The historical film hit the big screen on April 22, 2022. Earlier, it was scheduled for April 8 but for unknown reasons was postponed. Now, available for Hindi and English viewers on OTT Platform Amazon Prime Video.

Although filming of the film initially commenced in March 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic it had come to a halt. Later, in August 2020, the filming was resumed again at Torr Head, County Antrim, and Ballygally near Larne in Northern Ireland. The entire shoot was wrapped up in December 2020.

The makers of the movie dropped trailer of this much-hyped epic historical drama film on December 20, 2021. This almost 3-minute long trailer has more than one crore views on Youtube so far.
The trailer shows the story of Iceland during 10 century when a Viking prince Amleth ( Alexander) witnessed his father shot by arrows and executed by his uncle Fjolnir (Claes Bang).
The trailer has some effective taglines such as “I will avenge you, father!”, “I will save you, mother!”, “I will kill you, Fjolnir!”. Watch the trailer of The Northman, a story of vengeance, it garnered a lot of eyeballs of movie-lovers.
The Northman Makers
The film is helmed by Robert Eggers, he also co-wrote the screenplay in association with Sjon. It is jointly bankrolled by Mark Huffam, Lars Knudsen, and Arnon Milchan under the banners of Regency Enterprises.
If we talk about technical work, cinematography and editing in the film are handled by Louise Ford, respectively, while it has the music by Robin Carolan and Sebastian Gainsborough.
The distribution rights for the United States of America are bagged by Focus Features, while for international release, these are acquired by Universal Pictures.
