Leading streaming platform Netflix is soon to premiere a jaw-dropping crime documentary The Tinder Swindler, about a conman who deceived women out of money via tinder.
The Tinder Swindler is based on an Israeli fraudster named Shimon Hyut, He tricked multiple women using the dating app. Netflix will feature three victims’ stories Pernilla Sjoholm, Cecilie Fjellhoy, and Ayleen Charlotte.
He would trick the women masquerading as billionaire Simon Leviev, he’d tell them that he is the son of Russian-Israeli diamond Mogul Lev Leviev and to make his claims look plausible, used a fake bodyguard and business partners.

The Crime Documentary Tinder Swindler will be premiered exclusively on the Over The Top(OTT) platform Netflix on 2 February 2022.

Shimon’s earlier crimes
- Shimon Hyut has been convicted in several countries previously, in 2011, in Finland, he was charged with defrauding women,
- in 2019 he was arrested from Greece for using a counterfeit passport and deported to his native country Israel.
- He was also incarcerated in Israel for a 15-months sentence in Dec 2019, but he served only 5 months there and was then released, owing to Israel’s part of a program of reducing the population from the prison in the wake of a covid outbreak among captives.
- He also earlier been convicted of theft and forgery in Israel but fled from the country before sentencing.
