Telugu star Ram Pothineni’s much-hyped bilingual film “The Warriorr” has been released worldwide. Earlier it was said that there were some issues in Tamilnadu regarding the film’s release, but according to the latest reports, the matter has been sorted out before the release.
The pre-release buzz for the film is excellent, the trailer, posters, and promotional activity helped create a buzz surrounding the film. The trailer is now one of the most viewed trailers for any Tier-2 hero surpassing 10.53m views.
Box Office Collection Day 1
Ram Pothineni’s film becomes crucial for the industry especially Tollywood, as it hasn’t seen a hit for a while if leave ‘Major’ which was an unconventional film. Recent releases Virata Parvam, Ante Sundariniki, Godse, Chor Bazaar, 7 days 6 nights, etc all failed to attract Telugu movie lovers to the cinemas.
Now, all hopes are from RAPO starrer as the film has already created much hype through the trailer & posters, and there seems a genuine buzz among the moviegoers, they are excited to watch Rapo in a rowdy cop avatar.
As per the Telugu trade reports, The Warrior has exceeded all the expectations, earlier it was expected to earn in the range of Rs 7-8 crores gross on Day 1. But with the help of hires, it earned Rs 12.20 Cr gross Worldwide on Thu. It earned Rs 10.20 Cr gross with 7.02 Cr shares including 1.60 Cr hires in the Telugu-speaking states.

Screen Count
The Warriorr has been released in 1280+ theatres worldwide, it is being screened in 700 theatres in the Telugu-speaking states (Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana). It is released most in Andhra over 300 theatres, followed by Nizam 250+ and Ceeded 145+ theatres.
Rest of India (including TN) the film is released in 230 theatres and overseas theatre counts are 350+.
Pre-Release Business & Break-Even
The pre-release business for the film is valued at Rs 38.10 Cr worldwide, AP-TG business is Rs 34 Cr, and Tamil Version Rs 5 Cr. Earlier the business was valued at Rs 43.10 Cr, but it has been changed due to present conditions.
The break-even target is set at Rs 39 Cr, it will have to recover the Rs 39 Cr share to emerge as a hit, it will be considered a superhit once it crosses the Rs 50 Cr shares worldwide.
