The actor-choreographer Prabhu Deva’s long-delayed Kollywood action film Theal hit the theatres on the occasion of Pongal, directed by debutante Harikumar who also wrote the screenplay for the film.
The film was censored with a U/A certificate by the censor board and further the makers chose to release the film for Pongal (14 January 2022). Initially, it was to release on Dec 10, 2021, but was put off on the account of unforeseen reasons.

Prabhu Deva plays the main lead role as Durai and Kirik Pary fame Smyuktha Hegde as a counterpart leads to Prabhu, veteran actress Easwari Rao will be essaying the role of Prabhu’s mother, comedian Yogi Babu as Prabhu’s friend.
Other actors Shatru (Johnny), Imman Annachi (Manickam Annachi), Arjai, Bharani, G. Marimuthu, Cool Suresh, Kabali Vishwanath, Mahana are also part of the film.

Prabhu Deva’s fans were shocked to see that the film is available on Einthusan just after the two weeks of theatrical release, users claimed HD Print is available there.
Theal Television and OTT Release Date
Talking about Theal’s digital premiere, the post-theatrical Satellite rights of the film are acquired by Star Vijay or Vijay Tv and the Digital rights have been bagged by the giant Over The Top (OTT) platform Disney+Hotstar, now available on this platform.
Thereby Theal hit the digital screens and premiered on the Television screens after the theatrical release.

Pon Parthiban wrote the dialogues, It is bankrolled by K.E. Gannavel Raja under Studio Green, and the Tamil Nadu distributors are Sakthi Film Factory. On the technical parts, Vignesh Vasu cranked the camera, editing is done by Praveen K.L, C. Sathya has given the music.

Theal soundtrack album has 4 songs, Enna Petha Devadhaiye, Vaatura Theetura, Madhavi Ponmayilaaga, and Thealu Thealu lyrics penned by Uma Devi, Lavarthan, Viveka, Krithiyaa respectively. Harikumar Atul, Hyde Karty, and Raghav Jock give the voice in the title track.
C. Sathya sang the Enna Petha Devadhaiye song, Madhavi Ponmayilaaga(Priya Himesh), and Vaatura Theetura sung by V.M. Mahalingam and Meenakshi Elayaraja.
