After delivering the hattrick of superhits this year, Mollywood star actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is all set to roar at the box office once again with his drama film “Theerppu”, it is penned by Murali Gopy and helmed by Rathish Ambat.
The director-writer duo earlier collaborated in the 2018 national award winner film Kammara Sambhavam. Sukumaran brothers will be seen sharing screen space in the flick after Tiyaan and Lucifer. Along with Indrajith and Sukumaran, the cast members include Siddique, Saiju Kurup, Vijay Babu, Isha Talwar, and Hannah Reji Koshy.
It is the fourth outing of Prithviraj Sukumaran this year, his all three releases were considered superhit and now all eyes will be on Theerppu. The duration of the film is 2hr 28mins with the first half being 1hr 18mins long. The movie is said to be released in around 170 theatres in Kerala. It is locking horns with Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, which has been released in over 200 theatres in the state.

Box Office Collection Day 1
There is no buzz regarding Prithviraj’s latest outing, the low pre-sales and the theatre counts of the film which is less than the Tollywood outing Liger, itself sums up the story. Prithviraj has delivered the back-to-back hits but this one seems will hardly find any takers.
As per the estimation, the day 1 collection of the film will be around Rs 3-4 cr gross at the BO WW. Given the negative reviews and the poor buzz surrounding the film, it will become an uphill task for the flick to gain momentum over the weekend and will be removed from the theatres soon. However, the actor will soon be back with his much-anticipated film Gold which has already created a lot of buzz among Mollywood movie lovers.
