Thiruchitrambalam is a Tamil romantic comedy film directed by Mithran Jawahar, who is best known for his work in movies like Yaaradi Nee Mohini (2008), Kitty (2010), Uthamaputhiran (2010), Meedum Oru Kadhal Kadhai (2016) and Mathil (2021).
Along with directing the film, Mithran has also written it along with Varsha Bharath and Shreyas Srinivasan. it is backed by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures, the production house that have produced many big-star films including megastar Suriya starrer Etharkkum Thunindhavan and megastar Vijay’s recently released action comedy Beast.
Thiruchitrambalam Star Cast
The film stars megastar Dhanush in the male lead role. The actor is considered one of the busiest actors of the South Indian cinema as he always has many projects in pipelines. In addition to Thiruchitrambalam, he is currently busy in shooting of black comedy film Naane Varuven. Vaathi and Sir.
His another action drama film The Gray Man was released on July 15, 2022. Thiruchitrambalam marks the fourth collaboration of the actor with director Mithran after Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran.
Actresses Raashi Khanna, Nithya Menen and Priya Bhavani Shankar are playing the female leads opposite Dhanush while popular actor Prakash Raj and Bharathiraja in supporting roles.
Thiruchitrambalam Technical Crew
If we talk about technical work, popular cinematographer Om Prakash is handling the lenses and Prasanna G.K. has taken care of editing work while the music and original score is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, who is collaborating after six years since their last film Thanga Magan.
Thiruchitrambalam marks Anirudh’s fifth collaboration with Dhanush and first with director Mithran. This year, in the month of March, it was announced that lyricist Vivek has penned the lyrics of the film’s songs.

Thiruchitrambalam Announcement
Film production studio Sun Pictures, which is headed by Kalanithi Maran announced the project with Dhanush as the lead role in December 2019. The picture was titled #DD4, as it is the actor’s 44th film in leading role.
Later, on August 5, 2021, the makers of the movie announced the titled of the film as Thiruchitrambalam with 35-second long video clip, that mentioned the names of the entire team. Have a look:
