Thor 4 was released on Thu (July 7) a day prior to the U.S., and was opened with over 45% occupancy on the first day at the box office India.
With a collection of over Rs 18.6 crores on Thu, the film became the all-time fifth highest opening day Hollywood grosser in India and second-highest of the year. It failed to beat the Doctor Strange 2 opening day collection of Rs 27.50 crore.
2nd Highest Grosser 2022
Thor 4 managed to beat other Hollywood releases of this year Jurassic World Dominion (Rs 8 Cr), The Batman (Rs 6.66 Cr), and Top Gun: Maverick (Rs 1.94 Cr), and emerged as the 2nd highest day 1 grosser of 2022.

Box Office Collection Day 3
It will see a four-day extended weekend, Thor 4 sees the opening of Rs 18.5 Cr+ on Day 1 and further saw a drop of around 30% on day 2 and earned Rs 12.5Cr+ though it is a mid-week release film, a nominal drop of 20% was expected but 30% drop is big.
However, Chris starrer is back on track on Day 3 (Sat), as per a report of box office India, it witnessed a huge 55-60% growth and earned amount similar to Thu (Day 1). The total collections of the film will easily go past Rs 45 crores in 3 days.

Stays steady in South
While the film saw a drop in collections on the second day, as per the reports, the drop came in the North Indian Markets whereas the south Indian market like Telugu-speaking states (AP-TG), Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, Thor 4 collections are steady.
