Hollywood action star Tom Cruise’s long-awaited & much-hyped action drama Top Gun: Maverick is all geared up to finally hit the big screens soon. This action film is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who is working for the second time with cruise, after the 2013 sci-fi action-adventure Oblivion.
Top Gun: Maverick serves as the sequel to Tom’s 1986 Top Gun which was helmed by Tony Scott. As per the synopsis given by the makers, the sequel revolves around a U.S Navy pilot named Pete Michell aka Maverick, who, in the sequel, after giving 30 yrs in the service, will now train a detachment of young top gun graduates.
Among them, he will meet with his late friend’s son Bradley Bradshaw. Further, they are engrossed in a mission that demands an ultimate sacrifice.
Top Gun: Maverick Release Date
The shooting of this Cruise starrer started in April 2019, and the trailer was unveiled in July 2019, marking the release date for summer 2020. But the release date was again put off for the third time.
Initially, it was slated to release in July 2019, but owing to various reasons the film has been rescheduled six times since 2019. However, In Sept 2021 makers announced that Top Gun: Maverick would hit the theatres on 27 May 2022.
Release Date in India
Top Gun will also release in India on the same date 27 May 2022. It will release in four languages English along with its dubbed version Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.

Makers dropped the 2:30 seconds new trailer on its SM handles, the trailer starts with some young aviators who are going to get trained by the navy veteran (Pete Mitchell), two and half minute trailer is imbued with past memories, motivation, and dazzling aerial shots of the U.S aircraft.
