Recently release RRR holds the record of highest opening day grosser not only in Telugu but in Indian cinema, the film has left behind Prabhas’s Baahubali2 by collecting over Rs 235 Cr gross worldwide on Day 1.
In the list of Top 10 highest Telugu grosser opening day collections, Prabhas has two films(Baahubali2 and Saaho) which had grossed the Rs 100 cr mark, not only this, Prabhas is the only Indian actor that holds this record. The actor has three movies in the top 5 list of Telugu Highest openers.
And Rajamouli is the only filmmaker whose two films RRR and Baahubali2 are the films that are the top2 highest openers of not only Tollywood but Indian Cinema.
After Prabhas, the charming star of Tollywood cinema Mahesh Babu has three films on the list named Sarileru Neekevvaru(2020), Bharat Ane Nenu(2018), and Maharshi(2018) followed by the power star Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi(2018) and Bheemla Nayak(2022).
After having seen the Rajamouli’s RRR wreaking havoc at the box office by churning out the highest opening day collections, now all eyes will be on the upcoming Tollywood biggies like Salaar, Liger, Pushpa2, Sarkaru Vaari Paata etc
