Trial By Fire is a limited series directed by Prashant Nair and Randeep Jha, it is all set to stream on the OTT platform Netflix soon. The series is based on the Uphaar Cinema fire incident and its aftermath.
It is directed by Prashant Nair and Randeep Jha, the former also created the series along with Kevin Lupercho. The series is produced by Endemol Shine India and House of Talkies.
Trial By Fire Release Date
Trial By Fire will premiere on 13 January 2023 exclusively on Netflix. On Wed (Dec 14), the OTT platform announced the release date of the series by sharing a poster featuring a burning chair in a cinema hall. Check out the post, below:

Trial By Fire Star Cast
Trial By Fire is inspired by the bestseller book Trial By Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy written by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy.
Abhay Deol and Rajshri Deshpande will be seen featuring in the role of Shekhar and Neelam respectively. It also has Rajesh Tailang, Ashish Vidhyarthi, Anupam Kher, Ratna Pathak, Shilpa Shula, and Shardul Bharadwaj among others.

Abhay-Rajshri starrer revolves around the heartbreaking journey of the parents Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy who lost their children to the fire. The series will depict their pursuit of justice and other lives touched and destroyed by the fire.

All About the Trials By Fire
In June 1997, a fire took over Uphaar Cinema in South Delhi, it saw the loss of 59 victims and 100 injured moviegoers. The tragic incident has been etched in the minds of many for over 2 decades.
Abhay Deol also shared the poster of the series, he wrote that he is very excited to share his upcoming project, in the caption. The series will arrive only on Netflix on the 13th of January. The actor is known for his amazing performance in movies like Dev D, Raanjhana and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. He was last seen in the comedy film Velle which bombed at the box office.
