Amazon Prime Video often comes with something new and different for its viewers, whether it is a movie or a web-series, the platform always delivers bold and interesting content.
Soon it will come up with the second super exciting season of American adult animated psychological comedy drama television series Undone, which premiered its debut season on September 13, 2019 to critical acclaim.
It is Amazon’s first adult animated original series and its first to use rotoscoping, an animation technology in which scenes are filmed live before being traced over by animators, creating a unique hybrid between animation and live action.
Undone Season 2 Star Cast
- Actress Rosa Salazar is the female lead of the series, she is playing Alma Winograd-Diaz, a Mexican woman who begins to develop the ability to manipulate and move through time after a car crash. She is well-known for portraying notable roles in films like The Divergent Series: Insurgent, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Maze Runner: The Death Cure, Netflix’s films The Kindergarten Teacher and Bird Box
- Angelique Cabral is playing as Alma’s younger sister Becca Winograd- Diaz, who is engaged to be married. The actress rose to prominence after playing as Colleen Brandon-Ortega on CBS’s “Life in Pieces”
- Constance Marie as Alma’s mother Camila Diaz, who worries about Alma’s mental health following her crash
- Siddharth Dhananjay as Alma’s boyfriend Sam, who she enlists to help her investigate the death of her father
- Daveed Diggs as Tunde, Alma’s boss at a daycare
- Bob Odenkirk as Alma’s dead father, Jacob Winograd who enlists her helping in investigating his death
Undone Season 2 Makers
Created by “BoJack Horseman” fames Raphael Bob- Waksberg and Kate Purdy, who are also serving as the showrunners along with Carmiel Banasky, Elijah Aron, Gonzalo Cordova, Patrick Metcalf, Mehar Sethi and April Shih, this adult animated series has been developed under the direction of Hisko Hulsing, who is well-known for documentary film Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck.
Raphael and Kate are also backing the series along with Noel Bright, Steven A. Cohen and Tommy Pallotta under the banners of The Tornante Company, Amazon Studios, Submarine Amsterdam, Boxer vs. Raptor and Hive House Project.
Plot of the Series
The plot of the series explores the elastic nature of reality through its Alma, its central character, who after getting into a near to death accident, discovers that she has a new relationship with time and uses this ability to find the truth behind her father’s mysterious death.
Undone Season 2 OTT Release Date
In November 2019, just a month after the premiere of its debut season, the series was renewed for its second season. Like the debut season of the series, the second season will also deliver eight super exciting episodes and all of these episodes will premiere on Friday, 29th April 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.
At the SXSW South by Southwest which recently held in March, Prime Video has also unveiled official video clips taken from the expected episodes of the series. Watch it below:
