Upcoming comedy-drama Mollywood film Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan starring Saiju Kurup will be seen in theatres soon. It marks the actor’s 100th film.
Saiju Kurup debuted in the industry from 2005 T Hariharan directorial Mayookham and was last seen in Dulquer Salman starrer blockbuster fugitive crime thriller film Kurup which was Saiju’s 99th film.
With Upachaarapoorvam Gunda Jayan the actor will hit the century in his filmy career. It is directed by debutante Arun Vaiga touted to be a comedy-drama film.

Release Date of Upachaarapoorvam Gunda Jayan
In the last week of Dec2021, makers announced that Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan would hit the cinemas on 28 Jan 2022 but later postponed the release, a reason unknown. Now, recently with the new poster, they announced that the film would now be released on 25 February 2022.

Budget
The film is bankrolled and presented by Mollywood superstar actor Dulquer Salman under his home banner Wayfarer Films in association with Sebab Anicadu’s My Dreams Entertainment. The film is made on a budget of around Rs 2.5 crores.
Star Cast of Upachaarapoorvam Gunda Jayan
This comedy-drama features Saiju Kurup on which the storyline is centered around and reportedly essaying the role of a thug as Gunda Jayan.
Other Actors Aswin Madhu, Johny Antony, Jaffer Idukki, Vijilesh Karayad, Biju Sopanam, Siju Wilson, Sabumon Abdusamad, Shabareesh Varma, Sudheer Karamana Shani Shaki, Sagar Surya, Vrindha Menon, and Radha Gomati in pivotal roles.
Technical Team
The technical team including Eldo Isaac cranked the camera and the editing has been carried out by Kiran Das, it’s a Bijibal musical film while Harinarayanan penned the lyrics.
