Sooraj Barjatya’s film “Uunchai” remains rock solid at the box office even after the arrival of the money spinner Drishyam 2. It is nearing the end of its second week and continues to mint money day in and day out albeit on the lower side.
The film has grossed 36 crores at the box office worldwide so far which consists of 29.5 Cr in India and 6.5 Cr overseas. It features the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra.

Touched 25 Cr Mark in India
Big B starrer opened with rave reviews from the critics and followed the old Rajshri release formula, the film draws decent footfalls in the first week. And saw the increase in the screen counts as the demand increased in the 2nd week.
The film clocked in over 6.5 Cr on the 2nd weekend and holds well on the weekdays, in fact, it saw a tad growth of 3% on the 2nd Tue for a total domestic nett cume of 25 Cr.
Box Office Collection Day 13
As per the reports, Sr. Bachchan’s film witnessed growth in earnings on day 13 (Wed) to take the total nett earnings a little below 26 Cr. “Uunchai” is turning out to be one of the top grosser for Big B as the main lead in recent times, his earlier releases like Goodbye, Jhund had tanked at the box office.

Sooraj along with directing the film also produced it with Mahaveer Jain and Natasha Malpani Oswal under the banner Rajshri Productions, Mahaveer Jain Films, and Boundless Media. Yash Raj Films are the distributor of Uunchai. It has a runtime of 170 minutes. And it is said to be made with a budget of 35 crores.
