Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Uunchai” will complete its three-week run, soon. The film is estimated to have collected 30 crores nett at the domestic market. It is now nearing the end of its run at the box office.
It opened with rave reviews from critics and was released below 500 screens in India. Makers followed the old release formula for Uunchai, the screen counts increased in the 2nd week due to the audience demand.
As per the trade estimations, it has netted 30 crores, domestically, so far. Uunchai was expected to earn more but the arrival of Drishyam 2 has affected its biz big time. However, Uunchai overtakes the lifetime of the biggies like Attack-Part One, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Jersey, Badhaai Do, Heropanti 2, Doctor G, Phone Bhoot and Anek.
Uunchai to Wrap Under 35 Cr Lifetime
It is now nearing its end run at the box office and is expected to wrap under 35 Cr nett lifetime which is good considering family genre movies haven’t found many takers post-pandemic.
Talking about the business of Uunchai, the film accumulated 70 crores from non-theatrical rights e.g Satellite, OTT, and Music rights. And it is expected to collect an overall 20 crores distributor’s shares in its run.
Therefore, the overall recovery of Uunchai will be around 90 crores. It is said to be made on a budget of 45-50 crores including, still, it is in a profit of 40 crores.
Uunchai Box Office 3rd Week
Uunchai minted 35L on Fri (day 15) with 50% drops in earnings, the film saw a growth of 85.71% on Sat and 53.85% on Sun and collected 65L and 1 Cr, respectively. As per the trade reports, the flick is steady on the lower side with the earnings ranging from 15-20L. Going by this, Uunchai is an affair of a few days more.
