After garnering a booming response on an opening day at the box office Thala Ajith starrer action thriller enters into Day 2. As per the critics, Valimai is a complete mass entertainer film.
Ajith Kumar’s performance as an IPS Arjun Kumar, who is on the hunt to track down the notorious bikers is being praised by the critics, they also praised the bike action sequences and the BGM score but bashed the cliched story of the film.
It got mixed to the positive response from the critics, TOI gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, Pinkvilla 3/5, Firstpost, DH, and Indian Express gave the film 2 out of 5 stars. They bashed the film for the poor script but called it a mass film.
On the contrary, fans seem to celebrate Thala’s comeback after two and half years, like a festival. Valimai is said to be released on over 4500 screens worldwide, which is reportedly Ajith’s one of the highest theatre releases ever. With most 900 plus screens in Tamilnadu alone.

Box Office Collection Day 2
On Friday, it locked horns with two much-hyped films in their respective regions Alia’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, which means it will curtail the show counts of Valimai in the Telugu region and Hindi belt.
As per our early estimates, Valimai will collect less on the second day compared to Day one given the film itself has set the record very high, though it will enter the Rs 100 cr gross club for sure on Friday. Our early prediction is that Valimai will collect around Rs 28 crores (Gross) at the box office Tamilnadu and around Rs 45-50 crores at the box office worldwide.
Though these are our early predictions the final reports are yet to come, figures are subject to change, however, will update this article whenever the final reports of day 2 come in.
