Kollywood Cinema’s superstar Ajith Kumar was last seen in a action-thriller where he shown top bike stunt action with gripping story, Bollywood Actress Huma Qureshi impressed with her action talent in the film.
Valimai is directed by H.Vinoth, it marks his fourth directorial venture and second with Ajith Kumar. The filmmaker is also gearing up for the next venture with Ajith. It will be Ajith’s 61st film in his acting career and as of now, the film is tentatively titled AK 61 which marks the third collab between the actor and the director.
After the record-breaking opening from the home market, the opening Weekend collection of Tamil action thriller Valimai was sensational. The film enjoyed 4-days long weekend, failed to maintain the start but it’s a commercial hit movie.
Valimai was released on the weekday (Thursday) and minted Rs 74 crores at the BO worldwide on an opening day. On Friday (Feb 25) it saw a tad drop in BO numbers but on Saturday(Day 3) the film pick up the pace by entering the Rs 100 crore gross club.
After the success of this big action thriller, producer Boney Kapoor hints towards its sequel. Boney Kapoor said in an interview, that he had plans to expand the film into the franchise by adding more installments to it, but he also hinted that it all will depend on Valimai Box Office Performance.
Valimai is a successful action thriller but it needs a strong plot for the sequel which was missing in the first part. Ajith Kumar as an IPS officer Arjun Kumar was so impressive in this film.
If you didn’t watch it in theater or OTT Platform or waiting for Valimai World Television Premiere, good news is that Zee Tamil first time shown this on 1st May and Zee Telugu shown this first for their audiences (24th of April 2022) and now Hindi audiences can see it on TV (28 May 2022, Zee Cinema):
