Varun Dhawan started his film career as an Assistant director through Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan (2010) and in 2012 he debuted through the romantic comedy film Student of the year along with Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt.

24 April 1987 born Varun Dhawan is the son of Film director David Dhawan and homemaker mother Karuna Dhawan. He belongs to a filmy background but established himself through his own talent, receiving several awards and nominations to date.

Varun Dhawan has completed a decade in the industry and has worked in different genres like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014), Badlapur (2015), ABCD 2 (2015), Dilwale (2015), Dishoom (2016), October (2017), Sui Dhaaga (2018), Kalank (2019), Jugjugg Jeeyo (2022), and Bhediya (2022) which proves that he is a complete actor.

1- Citadel

Varun Dhawan to make his digital debut with Amazon Prime Video’s new Web Series Citadel. Directed and produced by Raj & DK, it is an Indian installment of Amazon Prime’s global Citadel franchise created by Russo Brothers. Filming of the same will start in Jan 2023.

Samantha is onboard to play opposite Varun.

2- Bawaal

Ace filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari who is best known for Dangal and Chhichhore, to direct young talents Varun Dhawan and Jhanvi Kapoor for the first time, Sajid Nadiadwala is the producer. Bawaal is set for 6 October 2023 release.

Apart from these movies, Varun was supposed to be seen in the period drama ‘Ranbhoomi’ and Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Mr Lele’, however, the actor opts out of both the flicks.

The actor was also to team up with his Badlapur director Sriram Raghavan in a biopic, titled ‘Ekkees’ but due to the multiple delays in the movie owing to covid-19, Varun backed out of the film.
