Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar doesn’t seem to be slowing down, as he has bagged one of the most iconic projects of his career, to play an iconic role. The actor is set to mark his Marathi debut with the Pan-India film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat.
Billed as an period action drama film, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat is directed by veteran Marathi and Bollywood actor-filmmaker Mahesh Manjrekar and produced by Vaseem Qureshi.
The Film’s Launch Ceremony
On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, a grand launch ceremony of the film was held in Mumbai, and it was attended by many big personalities such as Salman Khan, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, MNS Chief Raj Thackeray, and many others.
In this grand event, Akshay’s look as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was also revealed, and it looks quite promising. Akshay as the great warrior in this periodic drama film is a dream come true for his fans.
Akshay himself called it a dream come true and said that there is a big responsibility on him to play this iconic role, and he will do his best to fulfil the expectations people have of him.
During the film’s launch event, director Mahesh Manjrekar also revealed that it was his wish to work with Akshay and that for this role, he couldn’t see any other actor but him.

Release Date
The Pan-India Marathi film will have a grand theatrical release. During the grand event, the team also gave some new updates about the film’s release date. It is confirmed that it is going to be a festive release and grace the cinemas on Diwali 2023. Along with Marathi, it will also be released in dubbed Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions.

About the Film
The story of Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle will be centred around the story of the seven valiant warriors who had the sole aim of bringing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s dream of Swarajya to reality, writing one of the most glorious pages of Indian history.
It will tell the story of one of the greatest sacrifices ever made for our independence and for the glorious history of our country. It will showcase the commencement of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s idea of Poorna Swarajya, which sparked in the hearts of fellow countrymen.
