Vikram is the second film of the Loki universe after Kaithi and the fourth consecutive successful directorial venture of Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has been on a winning run at the box office ever since it hit the big screens.
The film was opened with positive reviews from the critics who praised the performance, story, and direction in the film. Following much anticipation and positive word of mouth, Vikram saw Rs 61 Cr gross figures coming in on the first day.
Vikram is directed as well as written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it is produced by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International.
Box Office Collection (Worldwide)
Vikram collected Rs 140 Cr+ gross worldwide on the first weekend, and staying decent on the weekdays, it minted over Rs 80 Crs in four days, the one-week total worldwide box office collection of Vikram stands at Rs 241.11 Cr gross.
Now going by the early trends, it will see an increase in figures on the second weekend, as per the reports, Vikram collects Rs 12.90 Cr gross on Day 8 to take the total worldwide collections to Rs 254.01 Cr+ mark.
With it, Ulganayagan’s film became the sixth-highest grosser Tamil film of all time beating the record of Thalapathy Ajith’s Mersal.
Box Office Collection (Tamil Nadu)
Box office figures of Haasan’s Vikram in TN vary, as the Kollywood BO tracker, Ramesh Bala stated the film crossed the Rs 100 Cr gross mark in Tamilnadu in 7 days, while another industry tracker Manobala stated that the film has grossed Rs 77.05 Cr so far.
