Tamil language action thriller Vikram releases in theatres on June 3 (Friday) in all three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, the film is starred by the south superstar’s Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and national awardee Fahadh Faasil.
Lokesh Kanagaraj directed the film, it is his fourth outing after Maanagaram, Kaithi and Master. And in his over 5 yrs directorial career, he never suffered a setback, he has been giving consistently hits at the box office. His last directorial venture Master went on to become one of the highest-grossing films in Tamil Nadu.
The film has already made much hype through its trailer, posters and promotional events, and finally, the film is gracing the cinema halls on Friday, here we are discussing the day 1 box office collection early estimates.
Screen Counts
As per the reports, Vikram is releasing on 6,000 screens worldwide, in India the film is releasing on over 4000 screens. In the Hindi belt, it will be released in around 1500 screens. The north distributor of the film is Pen Studios’s Jayantilal Gada. Home market (Tamil Nadu) screen counts are 800.

Reviews
The early reviews are all positive Times of India gave the film 3 out of 5 stars, Mirchi 9 gave 2.5/5 stars and Firstpost 3.5 out of five stars, many fans after watching the early show also took to Twitter and shared their review. The film is getting positive responses and is being praised for the action sequence, casting, BGM, storyline and Suriya’s cameo in the climax.
Box Office Collections Day 1
Till Monday evening Vikram had earned Rs 15.30 Cr gross from the advance for Day 1, the Tamil version of the film raked in most Rs 14.35 Cr followed by Telugu (68 L), and Hindi (27L).
Following the positive trend of the advance bookings and the early reviews. Haasan’s film hit the half-century on the very first day by minting Rs 60 Cr+ gross on Day 1.
