Ulganayagan’s film Vikram’s magic continues its winning run in the second week also. The film has minted Rs 240 Cr+ on the first week and continuing the roaring trend, it performed very well on the two days of the second week.
It is doing excellent business all over, the film;
- crossed the Rs 100 Cr mark in Tamil Nadu (home market),
- becomes the first Kollywood film to cross Rs 25 Cr in Kerala state.
- has become the 5th highest grosser Kollywood film.
- has become the highest-grosser Kollywood film of the year (2022).
- becomes Kamal Haasan’s highest-grossing film to date.
On Friday the film saw Rs 12.90 crores coming into the cash registers of the film, with it, Vikram also becomes the fifth highest grosser. It collected around Rs 18 Cr on Day 9 to take the total collection of the film to Rs 272 Cr gross.
Now as per the early reports, Haasan starrer earned Rs 23.80 Cr on Sunday (Day 10) to take the total worldwide collections Rs 295.71 Cr gross. The film saw a jump during the 2nd weekend compared to the weekday’s collections.
Now, it has beaten the lifetime biz of Rajinikanth’s Kabali (Rs 285 Cr) and Enthiran or 2.0 (Rs 289 crores) on day 10 (Sunday) to become the third highest grosser Tamil film of all time.
Haasan’s this flick is showing all signs of becoming the highest-grosser Tamil film of all time, going by its collections which are growing exponentially day by day.
Although it is not fair to say it yet as the film will fetch the 2nd spot soon, it will take a lot of doing for Vikram to acquire the first position. Superstar Rajinikanth’s film is in the top spot with Rs 850 crores worldwide gross, which is far more than Vikram’s current collections however we will put a stop to our talk by saying that the records are made to be broken.
