Ulganayagan’s pan-India action thriller Vikram’s theatrical run is almost coming to an end at the box office. The film has collected Rs 420 crores worldwide in its five-week theatrical run.

It will soon be made available on this OTT platform, Vikram is directed as well as written by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it is the second film in his cinematic universe after Kaithi.

As per Bollywood Hungama, Vikram has grossed Rs 400 crores at the box office worldwide, it raked in most from the home market Tamil Nadu Rs 170 Cr+. Kamal Haasan starrer this film also rocked the box office overseas, it manages to hit the century there also with the closing collection Rs 120 crores.

The movie has created a history in the Indian film industry & entire Tamil industry. It collected most from Telugu-speaking states and Kerala which collected Rs 39 crores gross each, followed by Karnataka Rs 25 crores gross, and north Indian markets Rs 18 crores gross.

Director Lokesh has pulled off his fourth successful venture at the box office with Vikram, his magnum opus has been running successfully at the theatres since day 1. It has been shattering box office records, Vikram has become the second highest-grossing Tamil film of all time after Rajinikanth’s 2.0, the highest-grossing film of Kamal Haasan’s career, highest grossing Tamil film in Kerala, and the Highest-grossing Tamil film of 2022.

The film is still doing well on daily basis at the box office, particularly in Tamil Nadu, reportedly, the film witnessed growth during the 5th weekend, and collect Rs 2+ Cr gross+** on Day 30, to take the total 5th-weekend collection over Rs 3 Cr+.

About the Film

Vikram was opened with highly positive reviews from the critics, it was praised for the action sequences, dialogues, technical aspects, narration, and the performance of three seasoned actors, Kamal, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi.

Rathna Kumar and Lokesh wrote the dialogue, it is backed by Kamal Haasan and R Mahendran under the banner Raaj Kamal Films Intl.
