Vikram Hindi OTT Release Date: Biggest Tamil Blockbuster 2022 is here

Vikram, one of the most-anticipated action thriller films of Kollywood superstar Kamal Haasan was released theatrically on June 3, 2022. It opened to highly positive reviews from audiences as well as critics.

It was directed and written by ace-filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has directed the blockbuster films like Maanagaram, Kaithi and Master. Now, one More film blockbuster is added to his filmography.

Vikram is the spiritual sequel of Kamal Hassan’s 1986 film of the same name. It features Haasan in the titular role, Fahadh Faasil and megastar Vijay Sethupathi who played the main antagonist in the film.

The Pan India action entertainer film was creating much hype even before its release and became a massive hit breaking multiple records. The film was released in all major South Indian languages along with Hindi in theaters on June 3.

Now, finally the makers have revealed the post-theatre OTT release date of the film. The film also did well in the Hindi belt and here is some good news for the Hindi audience that finally we got to know the OTT streaming date of the film.

The much-anticipated action thriller is set to have an after-theater streaming release on June 8 in Hindi as well as Tamil,  Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

So, if you somehow couldn’t make it to theaters, you can enjoy the movie on OTT streaming platform Disney+Hotstar on July 8 via a paid subscription on the platform.

Produced by its lead star Kamal Hassan’s banner Raaj Kamal Films, the film earned over Rs. 34 crore in India and Rs. 24 cr. from overseas bringing the total to Rs. 58 cr. on the opening day. It entered the Rs. 100 crore club within two days of its release.

It grossed Rs. 260 cr.in the first week of its theatrical run Worldwide and emerged as the highest grossing Tamil fil of the year by surpassing Thalapathy Vijay starrer Beast. So far, the film has grossed Rs. 409 cr. against a total budget of Rs. 120-150 cr.
