Vikram Vedha opened to rave reviews from the critics, the film had decent advance bookings, and despite all this Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer performed below par at the box office.
Hrithik Roshan is coming to the big screens after almost 3 years, the actor last delivered the blockbuster flick, “War”, which went on to collect 300 crores at the box office. Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte who are playing the leads along with Hrithik Roshan, garnered accolades from the critics for their performances.

Vikram Vedha releases on 5640 screens worldwide which consists of 1633 screens overseas in 104 countries and over 4000 screens in India. Pushkar-Gayathri’s directorial was expected to do the magic at the box office in the Hindi remake also like their 2017 release.
As per the trade reports, the Hindi remake of a Tamil film collected around Rs 11.5 Cr on the first day, it underperformed in both metros and mass belts. Earlier the expectation from the flick, which features two big stars, was to beat the Bhool Bhulaiyaa2 opening day biz taking the 2nd best start at the box office of 2022.
However, it saw a flat trend in occupancy during the morning, noon, and evening shows. The overall occupancy of Vikram Vedha was 16.71%, across all the shows on Friday.

The movie is directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, it is a remake of their own 2017 release of the same name starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.

As per Bollywood Hungama, Hrithik-Saif’s film has recorded the third biggest advance this year after Brahmastra and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As per BH, VV sold 1.50 lakh tickets approximately worth Rs 3.75 crores gross all-India, as of Thu at 8.30 pm, the report also states that by 12pm, it would cross the 4.25 Cr mark nationwide. Talking about the national chains, it sold 50,000 tickets till 6 pm, Thursday.
