“Vikram Vedha” will mark the arrival of the superstar, Hrithik Roshan, on the big screens after almost 3 yrs. The actor was last seen in the oct-2019 release “War” which went on to become a blockbuster at the box office.
The pre-release buzz of his latest is hinting the same, he is playing a dreaded gangster role joining him in the movie is Saif Ali Khan who is known for creating magic in face-off movies.
Advance Bookings Report
The advance bookings of the neo-noir thriller were recently opened, and as of Tue noon, it had sold 13,500 tickets at the three main properties–PVR, INOX and Cinepolis. It is expected to close the advance bookings selling around 75000 tickets.
Hrithik-Saif starrer has finally touched the Rs 1 Cr mark from the ticket bookings. As of Thu, morning, it sold 70,000+ overall tickets worth Rs 1.61 Cr. However, it is still on the lower side as earlier trade circle reports were comparing it with Kartik’s BB2 but now it looks like will be a tough task to beat the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’s Rs 6.5 Cr gross for VV.
Vikram Vedha Screen Counts and Budget
The film was recently censored with a U/A certificate and the duration of the flick is 159min 51sec or 2hr 39min 51sec. It is riding on a huge budget of 175 crores and is expected to release on 4000+ screens in the domestic market alone.

Box Office Collection
On the advance bookings front, the Hrithik-Saif starrer which was being compared with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ones seems like will not cross Shamshera and Prithviraj advance bookings numbers. Both the latter flicks cater to the same audience and had accumulated Rs 4.80 crores and Rs 4.70 crores from advance bookings for day 1.
The other thing is, Vikram Vedha will face a clash with the highly anticipated Ponniyin Selvan-1. As we know, how the south Dubbed version wreaked havoc in the northern belt this year with the Hindi version success of RRR, KGF2, Major, 777Charlie, Rocketry and Karthikeya 2 affecting the BO collections of the same-day releases.
However, so far PS-1’s buzz is limited to Tamil Nadu but if the content is good it is certain to create magic in the north as well. And the same goes for VV, if the word of mouth is good it will definitely pass at the box office with flying colors. A lot will depend on the spot bookings since it is a mass entertainer, as per the early projections, it will take a start of Rs 12-14 Cr.
