Kiccha Sudeep’s much-hyped and long-awaited film ‘Vikrant Rona’ is to hit the big screens, finally on 28 July 2022. The biggie has already created much hype among movie lovers through its trailer, poster, and promotional activities.
Directed and written by Anup Bhandari, it marks his third directorial venture after the critically acclaimed RangiTaranga and Rajaratha. Vikrant Rona will be released in six languages domestically, original version Kannada and dubbed versions Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
As per the reports, makers are in plans to release the film on as many as 7000 screens worldwide. Recently One Twenty & Media’s Yogish told the cinema express that they are planning to release the film on around 1200 screens overseas.

Advance Bookings & Budget
CBFC board certified the film with UA certificate permitting to commence the advance bookings on 25 July, the advances opened on the same day. Reportedly, it was supposed to be made on a budget of Rs 15 Cr, but the makers increased the budget to Rs 95 Cr, later on, owing to the scale of the film.
As per sacnilk, the film has grossed around Rs 4.11 Cr from the advance for day 1, till Tue evening. The advances are very good in Karnataka, it sold tickets worth 3.30 Cr in the state. Going by this, it is sure to take an excellent start in the home market.

Box Office Collection
2022 has been the year of Sandalwood cinema as far as the box office performance is concerned, the industry first delivered the second part of the highly anticipated KGF franchise which unprecedented performance set the box office on fire. And then 777 Charlie arrived on the silver screens, the small film was well-received by the audience and the critics alike.
Now, the biggie ‘Vikrant Rona’ which is expected to become the same level, if talk about the box office performance. As per our early projection, it will collect in the range of Rs 15-20 Cr on day 1, it is a mid-week release, so we can expect it draws in Rs 50-75 crores range on the 4-day extended opening weekend. The lifetime collection will depend on word of mouth and the mass audience response.

The film is produced by Shalini Jack Manju and Alankar Pandian under the banner Kichcha Creations, Shalini Arts and Invenio Films India. The team recently unveiled the list of worldwide distributors. Salman Khan Films Presents, PVR Pictures Distribution will distribute the Hindi version, while Yogish Dwarakihs Bungale’s OneTwenty & Media will look at the overseas market.
The south distributors are as follows Kiccha Creations Presents, Shalini Arts (Karnataka), Cosmos Entertainment (Telugu Version), Zee Studios (Tamil Version), Dulquer Slaman’s, and Wayfarer Films (Malayalam version).
