Virata Parvam starring Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi finally releases in cinemas today, it is based on true events, set in the 1990s against the backdrop of the Naxalite movement at that time.
Venu Udugula directed as well as wrote the film, backed by S.Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banner Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions.

Box Office Collection
It was released in the US in 301 locations and it has managed to collect 50K dollars so far as per the reports. Virata Parvam is a small film and the lifetime gross worldwide target for the film around Rs 40 Cr would be enough.
On the first day, Rana-Sai led film performed very poorly, it earned only Rs 1.5 Cr gross from the home market (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). Many had expected Rs 5 crores range figures but it opens below expectations.
Screen Count
It releases in 1110 theatres worldwide, in the home market (AP-TG) it is released in 620+ theatres. The rest of India makers managed to fetch 110 screens and overseas 380+.
