Tollywood heartthrob Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer Telugu period romantic action drama film Virata Parvam is ready to have its OTT streaming after hitting the big screen on June 17, 2022.
Directed and written by Venu Udugula, the Virata Parvam was initially set to be released on April 30, 2021 but due to COVID-19 it had a long delay of more than a year for the release.
Well, the film has been released theatrically and has received mixed responses from the critics, while the audience rejected the film at the box office.
Virata Parvam OTT Release Date
According to media sources, leading streaming giant Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights of Virata Parvam. Earlier it is said that Virata Parvam will stream on the digital platform after 4-week theatrical run.
Now, as per the latest reports, following the dull performance of Rana’s film at the box office, the film will have its OTT debut a week earlier than the planned OTT premiere after 4 weeks. Reportedly Virata Parvam will be made available on Netflix on 1 July 2022 in all three languages Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
About the Film
Set in the Andhra Pradesh of 1990s, that is modern day Telangana region amidst the Naxalite movement, Virata Parvam follows a young woman named Vennela, played by Sai Pallavi, who is in pursuit of love with a Naxal leader and a poet, Ravi Shankar aka comrade Ravanna.
Along with the leading star cast, the film also features Priyamani, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, Sai Chand, Nivetha Pethuraj, Jagadish Prathap Bandari and Sai Prasanna in supporting roles.
