Mega star Chiranjeevi starrer Waltair Veerayya has finally been released in cinemas and earned huge on its first weekend. Directed by K.S Ravindra, it is one of the most awaited south Indian films of 2023.
The film also has Ravi Teja who is one of the main highlights of the movie along with Chiranjeevi. The duo are working together for nearly after two decades.
Apart from Ravi and Chiranjeevi, the film features Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj in key roles. It marks the first film of Shruti Haasan with Chiranjeevi.
Waltair Veerayya Screen Counts and Budget
Waltair Veerayya occupied 1575+ theatres worldwide of which Andhra Pradesh and Telangana theatre counts are 865+, on day 1.
It has occupied 500 screens in the overseas market whereas in the rest of India, it was released in 210 theatres.
Waltair Veerayya Break Even Target
The theatrical rights of the film were sold at a whopping Rs 88 Cr, as per the Telugu trade reports, which shows that the distributors have full faith in the megastar especially when his last two films, Acharya and Godfather, were considered flops.
And seems like, Waltair Veerayya has lived up to the expectations of the distributors, as the film has been trending better than Chiranjeevi’s past two movies.
However, it still needs to accumulate around 30 crore shares to enter into the profit phase. It will have to show a solid trend during the weekdays to complete the BE target of 89 crores.
Waltair Veerayya Occupancy Report Day 3
The film is witnessing great occupancy since the start, and following the trend, it again registered a huge 76.81% Telugu occupancy across all the shows on the third day, Sunday. However, the Hindi occupancy of the movie is negligible.

After a huge start of around 49 Cr gross worldwide, Waltair Veerayya showed a good steady trend over Sat and Sun. As per the Telugu BO tracker, T2BLive, the film has crossed the 100 Cr mark on its first weekend.

The AP/TG theatre counts have been reduced to 600 screens from 850 screens due to multiple clashes at the box office, from day 2 onwards.
The film is facing a clash with Balayyaa’s Veera Simha Reddy which took a career-best opening for the actor. However, both the flicks managed to sustain over the weekend due to the festive holidays.
