The recent Tamil blockbuster Leo actor Mansoor Ali Khan, who played a death row convict in the film recently made some derogatory remarks about the lead actress of Leo, Trisha Krishnan. To which Trisha and Director, Lokesh Kanagaraj called out on him.
Mansoor stated in a recent interview that when he heard that he was acting with Trisha, he thought that there would be a bedroom scene in the film. He thought that he could carry her to the bedroom just like he did with other actresses in his earlier movies.
He added that he has done so many rape scenes and it’s not new to him. But the filmmakers didn’t even show Trishna to him on the sets during the shooting in Kashmir, he talked about the new Tamil Blockbuster Leo.
Trisha Krishnam slams Mansoor Ali Khan
Actress Trisha Krishnan was shocked after hearing the comment he made on her. Trisha took to her X (Twitter) that a recent video had come to her notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan had spoken about her in a vile and disgusted manner.
She further added that she strongly condemns this and finds it sexist, disrespectful, repulsive, misogynistic, and in bad taste. He can keep wishing but she is grateful that she has never shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him. And she will make sure that it never happens for the rest of her film career as well. And people like him bring a bad name to mankind.
Leo’s Director, Lokesh Kanagaraj also condemned Mansoor Ali Khan’s remarks and said that he is disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments by Mansoor Ali Khan, given that they all worked in the same team. Respect for women, professionals, and co-artists should be non-negotiable in any Industry and he absolutely condemned this behavior.
Mansoor Ali Khan released a clarification
After Trisha’s reply to Mansoor Ali Khan’s statement, Mansoor came up with clarifications and released a statement that reads that his kids informed him that they had heard in the news that he had mistreated Trisha in the press meeting.
He stated that, To be honest, he complimented her at the conference. In the movie Leo, Trisha is treated similarly to how Hanuman moved the mountain, Chiranjeevi. And he made the comment in jest. Some have purposely sliced it and presented it to Trisha. He clarifies that he is not the kind of person who is afraid of all this fuss.
In his lengthy note, he also added that his daughter Dil Rupa is a huge fan of Trisha, and he also has two more daughters and wants to get married and has to support them. Those who have acted with him know very well how he respects women. He ended by saying that there is much work to be done in the world, so focus on work.
