Popular TV actress Nupur Alankar, who entertained the TV audience for almost three decades, is making headlines nowadays, however, this time not for any of her upcoming projects but for leaving the industry to take the spiritual path.
Yes! you heard it right. The actress shocked everyone on Thursday, August 18, 2022 after she announced quitting the entertainment industry to follow the path of spirituality. She took Sanyas from worldly possessions in February this year.
The former actress has given up the fancy attires and is seen wearing saffron attires as she often visits pilgrimage sites. She is now on her way to the Himalayas.
Nupur Alankar Confirms Quitting Showbiz
In her recent interview to a popular media house, the actress talked about her quitting the industry and said that she had always been inclined towards spirituality and had been following adhyatm, so it was a matter of time before she devoted herself completely to it.

She further said that she doesn’t miss acting anymore and is now done with all pretense as well as falsity that the actors resort to on screen and off it. Nupur’s mother passed away in 2020 and she revealed that she didn’t fear losing anything anymore.
She also said that her husband Alankar Srivastava had freed her from the marriage bond and they took the legal route for separation. “I feel free from all the expectations and duties”, she added. She has also given her Mumbai flat on rent so that she could fund her travel expenses to pilgrimage sites.

Nupur Alankar acted in almost 157 TV serials in her 27 year long acting career. She appeared in many popular shows such as Shaktimaan, Tantra and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann and many others. She also worked in a few films like Raja Di, Saawariya and Sonali Cable.
