On August 22, 2022, a seven-month old infant was allegedly kidnapped from Mathura Railway Station, while he was sleeping with his parents on the platform. He was recovered from BJP Corporate Vineeta Agarwal in Firozabad on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Vineeta Agarwal (44) and her husband Krishna Murari Agarwal (51) had allegedly paid Rs. 1.80 lakh to a gang which is involved in human trafficking, as the couple allegedly wanted a male child. They already  had a daughter.

After the news came to light, Agarwal was suspended from the Party. Rakesh Shankhwar, the Chief of BJP’s Firozabad Mahanagar city on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 said that Vineeta Agarwal, who was corporator from Ward No. 51, has been removed from the party with immediate effect.

Vineeta Agarwal Arrested in Child Theft Case

Day after being expelled from the party, Vineeta Agarwal and her husband Krishan Murari Agarwal have finally been arrested by the (Government Railway Police) GRP, Agra. Along with the couple six other people have also been arrested.

Police said that the doctor couple – Dr. Prem Bihari (38) and his wife Dr. Dayawati (38) – were running a child trafficking market. The couple runs a hospital in Hathras. The other arrested were Poonam (43), Manjeet (43), Deep Kumar (40) and Vimlesh (38). Vimlesh and Poonam worked as auxiliary nurse midwives in the same hospital.

The Stolen Child Finally Recovered by the Government Railway Police

The Government Railway Police (GRP) recovered the stolen seven-month-old infant on August 28, 2022. The infant was stolen at 4 am on August 24 from platform no. 8/9 while his parents were asleep.

CCTV footage of a child trafficker stealing the child from the station has also been circulating on social media and on the basis of that footage, six teams were formed to work out the case. The infant named Sanjay is son of Radha, who is the resident of Parkham village under the Farah Police Station in Mathura district.
