Developed by Jonathan Kasdan, Willow is an upcoming American television fantasy series based on and serving as the sequel to the 1998 film of the same name, which was directed by Ron Howard.
The film, made on a budget of $35 million, grossed $137.6 million and also received two Academy Award nominations. It starred Warwick Davis, Val Kilmer, Joanne Whalley, Billy Barty, and Jean Marsh in key roles.

- The series marks the return of actor and television presenter Warwick Davis as Willow Ufgood, a Nelwyn (dwarf) soccer player who leads a party to rescue the twin brother of a princess.
- Ruby Cruz as Kit, a princess and daughter of Sorsha, who sets in motion a quest to rescue her twin brother.
- Erin Kellyman as Jade, a knight in training and Kit’s best friend who joins in the quest.
- Ellie Bamber plays a kitchen maid, Dove, who joins the quest.
- Tony Revolori as Graydon, a member of the quest
- Amar Chadha-Patel as Boorman, a thief and swordsman who is offered freedom from prison if he joins the quest.

Kathleen Kennedy, Jonathan Kasdan, Michelle Rejwan, Tommy Harper, Roopesh Parekh, Wendy Mericle, Ron Howard, and Samie Kim Falvey are serving as executive producers, whereas John Bickerstaff, Hannah Friedman, and Jonathan Kasdan are the writers.
Willow Series OTT Release Date
The makers of the dark fantasy adventure series have released its release date. The series, produced by Stephen Woolfenden, Julia Cooperman, Hameed Shaukat, and Max Taylor, is set to premiere on November 30, 2022, on Disney+.
Along with English, the series will also be released in a dubbed Hindi version and Indian viewers can enjoy it on Disney+Hotstar.

About the Series
The trailer of the series has also been released, and it features an unlikely group of six heroes embarking on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world.
The Disney+ Original series is the first non-“Star Wars” project from Imagine Entertainment and Lucasfilm since its acquisition by Disney.
