How I Met Your Mother fame Jason Segal and the successful series Emily in Paris fame Lily Collins soon to be seen in a Netflix film Windfall. The storyline of Windfall centers around when a man breaks into billionaire Jason Segal’s house.

The film was shot during the pandemic and in July 2021, the digital platform acquired the rights of the film in an 8 figure $ deal. Windfall is helmed by Charlie McDowell, he with Jason also developed the story.

Star Cast of Windfall

Along with Jason and Collins other actors includes Breaking bad fame Jesse Plemons and Omar Levya in an undisclosed role both will be seen in key roles. Jason and Collins reportedly are essaying a young couple, things go sideways when they arrive for a last-minute getaway when a man barged into their vacation home.


The screenplay was written by Justin Lader and Andrew Kevin Walker, financed by Lily Collins, Charlie McDowell, Duncan Montgomery, Alex Orlovsky, Jesse, Jason, and Jacky under the banner High Frequenc Entertainment and Mutressa Movies.

The film has a runtime of 92 minutes.

Netflix Release Date

Windfall’s shooting took place in Ojai, California, USA, This crime thriller drama is set to premiere on the streaming giant Netflix on 18 March 2022.

On the technical front, Isiah Donte Lee lensed the camera and the editing is done by David Marks. Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans gave the music in the film.

Rick Covert, David, Justin, Elika Portnoy, and Andrew Kevin Walker serve as executive producers of Windfall. Netflix didn’t feature Windfall in the Movie Preview Trailer nor in the First look video, according to several media reports, it will premiere in March this year.

The trailer for the same is expected soon by Netflix.

Main Leads Upcoming Venture

Talking about the main lead Jason he was last seen in the biographical film Our friend in the year 2019, Apart from windfall he will soon be seen in Josephine Decker’s directorial The Sky is Everywhere.

On the other Lilly Collins has three more films in her kitty Halo of Stars, Gilded Rage, and Titan, the former’s filming has been concluded and the latter two are currently in the pre-production phase. Along with it, the actress will soon be seen in her successful series Emily in Paris upcoming season.

And Plemon will be seen in Western crime film Killers of The Flower Moon this year apart from Windfall, and in a television series Love and Death he will be seen essaying the main lead Allan Gore, the show is reportedly in production phase nowadays.
