After winning the hearts of Tamil viewers with his exceptional performance in Pushkar-Gayathri’s crime drama series Suzhal: The Vortex, which was released on Amazon Prime Video, actor Kathir is ready to be back with his upcoming bilingual film titled Yugi.
Touted-to-be an intense thriller, Yugi is directed by Zac Harriss, who has also written its screenplay. The film’s story and dialogues are penned by Packiaraj Ramalingam. The bilingual thriller will be simultaneously released in Tamil as well as Malayalam, and the latter version is titled Adrishyam.
The bilingual film was shot in Chennai and Pondicherry in full compliance with the COVID norms during the lockdown.
Yugi Tamil Movie Star Cast
Yugi stars promising and young actress Kathir in the lead role alongside actress Anandhi, who is set to make her Malayalam debut with the upcoming bilingual film. Along with them, it also stars Natrajan Subramaniam, Pavithra Lakshmi, Athmiya, Munishkanth, Namo Narayan, and Vinodhini.
On the other hand, in the Malayalam version, Kathir’s role is played by Joju George, while Natrajan’s role is played by Sharafudheen. Both versions of the film are bankrolled by UAN Film House in association with AAR Productions and Juvis Productions.
The film’s technical crew includes Pushparaj Santhosh as cinematographer, Jomin as editor, and Gopi Anand as art director. The film has music by Ranjan Raj.
Yugi Tamil Release Date
The makers are planning unique professional strategies and a perfect time for the worldwide theatrical release of the film. Now, they have also announced the official release date of the film. Kathir on Tuesday announced that the film will be released theatrically on November 18, 2022.

Along with revealing the release date, the makers of the film also released its teaser. The 2 minute long teaser was released via the official YouTube channel of Moviebuff Tamil and it looks really intriguing and has raised the inquisitiveness of viewers regarding the film.
It features Kathir in search of his love interest, who suddenly disappears. What is the reason behind her disappearance and who is behind this?, is the crux of the story.
