The multiple award-winning actors of South Indian film industry Rana Daggubati starrer Telugu-Tamil war drama film is all set for its post-theatrical OTT release.
Rana, who is best known for the villainous role as Bhallaladeva in S.S. Rajamouli’s critically acclaimed epic war drama Baahubali, will be seen in a role of a soldier of the Azad Hind Fauz (Indian National Army -INA), led by India’s great freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose.
He was last seen in Prabhu Solomon’s 2021 Telugu adventure film Aranya, which was released as Kaadan in Tamil and as Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi.

Rana Daggubati, who is the male lead of the film, played the character named Adhi and Regina Cassandra has played opposite him as Ananadhi.

1945 Makers
Director Sathyasiva helmed the project and also wrote it, in association with Akula Siva, who wrote the Telugu dialogues while it was bankrolled by S.N. Rajarajan under the banner of K. Productions.
If we talk about technical work, the cinematographic and the editing work in the film was handled by Sathya Ponmar and Gopi Krishna, respectively.
The film has music and background score of popular music composer and songwriter of the South Indian film industry Yuvan Shankar Raja. It is the third time he is collaborating with director Sathyasiva.
The audio rights are acquired by Muzik247 while lyrics in the songs are given by Mohana Raja along with Arul Kamaraj.
1945 Theater Release Date
This long-awaited film of Rana Daggubati hit the big screen on January 7, 2022. Earlier it was scheduled to be released on January 24, 2020.
However, due to financial differences between lead actor Rana and producer S.N. Rajarajan, this date was also canceled and rescheduled for December 31, 2022.
Again, for some reason, this release date was also canceled, and after rescheduling multiple times, it was announced on January 4, 2022, that the film will have its theatrical release on January 7, 2022.
1945 OTT Release Date and Production
This most anticipated historical war drama is all set for its OTT streaming on Monday, February 7, 2022. The OTT streaming rights of the movie are bagged by Sun NXT which is a video-on-demand platform, run by Sun TV Networks.
The shooting of this long-overdue war drama began almost six years ago, on August 19, 2016, and was wrapped up in 2021.
